That no one may break in." also "I come like a thief in the night" The American house having been broken into, pillared, and stone upon stone thrown down, is occupied by unloving people who are inviting in more and more to stand in the places where Democracy and Republic once stood. IMHO the answer is NOT to attempt to build the temple of democracy and republic again, around these now standing, unmoving, and self-serving, within the house. It is to draw a larger circle of democracy and republic and build A NEW TEMPLE. One larger and more inclusive and with greater reach.

Put upon us at the end of a gun wielded by a masked militarized door to door street marauding militia. Holy Father in my heart I hear the question; did not Peter try to intervene in our Lord Jesus death? Is this also "false compassion"? Peter failed three times. The lesson it seems is that Death is entirely between the person dying and God, and not withstanding anything we observing bystanders say, do, or think will change that relationship. Therefore what actions the dying person takes, upon his/or her best conversation with God instructs them to follow...That is what they should follow. God lend your understanding I pray. pz

Sometimes, make that Often...I take friendship for granted. It is a bad habit. Friends are what holds my life together. With out my best friend, Christine, my wife and partner in life, I would literally be adrift in the world. My friends have defined my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you Pat for posting this story. You do not know I am sure...but you grew up in a town (Village-of Ridgewood) that was victim of the Thalidomide Tragedy. Our Mayor and his wife were parents a daughter born them with no arms as a result of this drug. She was an adult when I met her and a wonderful person, amazingly adept at dealing with her handicap. But the Lethal Danger this drug presented was Very Real. Just as was Polio which we also grew up with and received the Vaccination for. Vaccine Deniers and Health Deniers in today's world have no clue of the Horror they are encouraging to occur.
