Dear Senator Kelly,

Reflections this day of 71 years and 2 months of solar cycles

Reading I have learned that war in the geographical area known as The Levant has from recorded history to present passed from tribal conflicts, to geopolitical conflicts involving then kingdoms of Egypt, and Persia, and Rome. Moving on to the fall of Rome and the Ottoman Empire which ruling up until the end of WW I. , at which point an overly optimistic League of Nations sought to create, out of thin air, new national boundaries for the peoples of the Levant.

The resulting Holocausts' of death and bloodshed are what have occurred when "well meaning" outsiders decided the fate of people beyond their own borders. Or perhaps I should say, when those outsiders failed to meet the commitment of following through to completion the decision to intervene in the fate of people beyond their own borders.

It was a long and bloody road from the fall of the Ottoman Empire after 1917 to the end of WW II and Israel's declaration of statehood in 1948. From the out-set the Arab and Jewish peoples failed to come to terms with their lust over the land. The military powers of the east and west i.e. Russia, and Britain and the USA played the two conflicted Arab and Jewish peoples against each other for their own geopolitical ends. The British failed miserably and withdrew. The USA i.e. Harry Truman, turned a blind eye, (or took 30 pieces of silver) to the Arab peoples and chose to endorse the fabrication of a nation out of thin air from the immigrants of Jewish people fleeing Nazi Germany and opposing Communist Russia, so that the USA would have a geopolitical foothold in the oil rich Levant.

We today are paying that price for oil and misplaced trust.

A nation predicated upon the foundation of a single religious domination of any one peoples over another has been predicted to fail in our 1st Amendment since the founding of our United States.

It was a bad idea then. It is still so today.

Until We the USA stop Reacting to our perceived geopolitical back-footed defensive attitude in the face of Russia, and now China, and start Acting in an attitude of higher altitude that reflects our high moral ground in our Constitution, then We are doomed to repeat these life and death mistakes.

Yours truly, Peter Zabriskie
